I’ve been fortunate enough to visit 56 countries, but the world is endlessly rich with places to see and experiences to have. These destinations remain at the very top of my bucket list, each with something unforgettable to offer:
Egypt – I want to stand before the Pyramids of Giza, the last remaining wonder of the ancient world, and marvel at their history. I’d also love to see the Great Sphinx, explore Cairo and Hurghada, and go snorkeling in the Red Sea.
Norway – Experiencing the Northern Lights from a glass igloo is a dream. I’d also love to go reindeer sledding, take a fjord cruise, walk the colorful streets of Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, and dive into Oslo’s history.
Antarctica – Penguins are my favorite animals, so watching them in their natural habitat would be incredible. I’d also brave the polar plunge, kayak among icebergs, and maybe even venture to the Falkland Islands.
Argentina – Hiking in Patagonia and seeing the crystal-blue lakes framed by towering mountains would be unforgettable. I’d love to explore Torres del Paine and Los Glaciares National Parks, soak in the energy of Buenos Aires, learn to tango (or at least admire the pros), and indulge in Argentine cuisine.
Bhutan – Known as the “Happiest Country,” Bhutan fascinates me. I’d love to hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, take in Himalayan views from Dochula Pass, and learn more about the country’s culture, art, food, and people.
Fiji – This tropical paradise is high on my list. I want to snorkel with sharks, go island hopping, attend a traditional Meke performance, and simply enjoy the pristine beaches.
Rwanda – Trekking with gorillas in Volcanoes National Park would be life-changing. I’d also love to go on safari, visit a women-led coffee farm, hike a volcano, and explore Nyungwe Forest National Park to see chimpanzees.
Zimbabwe – Seeing Victoria Falls—one of the natural wonders of the world—would be breathtaking, especially from a helicopter. I’d also love to cruise along the Zambezi River, spot wildlife in Chobe National Park, and experience local traditions like the Jikinya Dance Festival.
Türkiye – Experiencing Cappadocia during the hot air balloon festival is a must. I also want to see the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, wander the Grand Bazaar, sail along the Bosphorus Strait, and paraglide over the Blue Lagoon.
Indonesia – From the coral reefs of Bali and Komodo to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, there’s so much to see. I’d love to visit temples like Tanah Lot, learn about Hindu traditions, and maybe even spot a Komodo dragon.
